↗ What do the green and red arrows next to the elements in a Learning path mean?

Green arrow

An element with a green arrow, is an element of which a newer version is available.

Specifically, this means that the element with the green arrow has already been published in this version, but a newer version of the same element is being worked on. However, this newer version has not been published yet. Thus, the element in the learning path (with the green arrow) is different to the adapted (newer) version.

What can I do?

  • I recommend you to look at the new version and decide if this version should be placed/pushed in the learning path.
  • The current version can still be used as long as the new version is not yet released.
  • If this is the case, don't forget to remove the item you want to "replace" (with the green arrow) from the learning path.

Red arrow

An element with a red arrow is an element that is obsolete, that is, no longer usable.

How did the element become "obsolete" in the first place?

The precursor of the red arrow is the green arrow. Before this element became obsolete, it had a green arrow icon. This means that a new version of an element was already available.

As soon as this new version of the element is published, the element becomes obsolete in the respective "older" version - no longer usable.

What do I have to do?

  • As soon as you see a red arrow in a learning path, you have to remove the element from the learning path and you can move/place an element with a new version in the learning path, otherwise a publication of the learning path where the element with the red arrow is placed is not possible.
  • If you don't need the element in the learning path anymore, you can simply remove it from the learning path.
